1. Reasons for Producing the list
There are a number of lists that detail all the current green power offerings from each supplier. However, the best of these only really concentrate on purchasing details of each individual green power scheme. No mention within the lists are made of who owns which company, if they provide their business customers with Climate Change Levy (CCL) exemption, or intend their scheme to be 'above and beyond' the Renewables Obligation (RO), soon to be placed upon them. These are important issues, and to address this, each company was contacted in turn, and asked about their individual scheme or schemes. This information was then put into two tables.
2. The Small & Large Tables
There are two tables, one large and the other small. The small table details those items that have so far been excluded from all existing lists, and is the one shown below. For ease of use, it also includes the name of the supplier, and the brand name their scheme/s go under. The other, larger table is a more comprehensive list providing general information, such as contact numbers (a link to this is provided at the bottom of the table). However, as already mentioned there are some excellent sites that provide tables specifically to inform on the price and choice comparison of all the schemes.
3. Sites Providing Specific Green Power Purchasing Information
